Warm up My Favourite Clothes Style
The teacher's greeting. Good morning, students! I'm glad to see you. How are you?
Students revise sound [v]. The twister is on the blackboard (or in the handouts): a Vera drove to Venice in a van.
Checking on homework
Students present their works and describe situations and a person's clothes.
Introducing the topic
Teacher explains the aims of the lesson, and then ho gives students the dialogue (ex. 1, p. 41) to listen it. Student! have to complete the compliments and ground their opinion.
Ann. Hi, Jane! Jane. Hi! Nice to see you! Ann. You look so trendy today! Jane. Oh, thank you. This is my new juniper. A n n. I took notice of your new clothes. It's really cool! But why is it blue?
Jane. I like light blue colour and it matches to my eyes.
Ann. Don't be offended! Your jumper is nice.
Jane. I'm not offended. I liked my old sweater, but it is too small.
Ann. What a pity! That was so comfortable thing.
Jane. That's why I bought the new jumper.
Ann. And that was a good choice! I love your taste!
Work in whole class/in pairs. Students have to say compliments to the classmates about their clothes using ex. 1, p. 41.
Teacher divides students into pairs, and they have to ask and answer the questions in the table (ex. 3, p. 42), then present their dialogues to the class.
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
I can walk on tip, tip, toe Like a fairy I can go. I can stamp so that you'll say An elephant is here today.
T. Imagine you are going on a school trip with your classmates. Now you are helping to your mum to pack your clothes. First, write a list of clothing, then write where you are going, what the season is
Students use the table from ex. 5, p. 42. After writing, students read their works to the class.

T. What are your favourite clothes? Why? Describe your favourite item.
