Warm up My Planner
The teacher's greeting. Good morning, students! I'm glad to see you. Mow are you?
Students revise sounds [b], [se], [ea] and . The twister is on the blackboard (or in the handouts): n A big black bug bit the big black bear, but the big black bear bit the big black bug back!
Checking on homework
Students (selectively) read their works.
Game "Manuscript in the bottle"
T. Imagine you found a bottle with a manuscript in it. You want to read this handwriting, but it is coded. Your task is to decode it and write the answer.
The teacher gives the cards to the students or writes the message on the blackboard. Students can work individually or in pairs.
The teacher has to write no more than two clues: h—g, j=i. Students have to guess each letter is changed with the next one.
Answers: I like studying English. And you?
Introducing the topic
Teacher presents the topic using ex. 1 and 2, p. 76. Students make the task, and the teacher asks if they guess the topic of the lesson (My Planner).
The teacher explains it's very important to plan their time. If you have a hard time-table or you want to have time to do more activities, you need a planner.
The teacher proposes students to listen to the dialogue (ex. 3, p. 76). Students answer the questions:
1. What are the speakers in the dialogue?
2. What do they want to do?
3. What way they ask each other about their possibility to do this activity?
4. What way they refuse?
5. What reasons do they give?
6. How often will a chess club work?
Students read the dialogue once more and complete the time-table in the planner (ex. 4, p. 77). Students act out the dialogue.
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
I can play the piano. Piano, piano, I can play the piano. And you can play with me! I can sing and I can dance. Sing and dance, sing and dance, I can sing and I can dance. And you can dance with me!
The teacher divides students into pairs. Students look at the planner (ex. 5, p. 77). They ask and answer the questions about the activities using the notes in planner and the pictures.

Summary and feedback
The teacher summarizes the work by asking for students' feedback.
