Aims and objectives: to practise students' speaking skills; to practise students' listening skills; to practise the use of Present Perfect; to develop general culture and etiquette.

Warm up Hobbies
The teacher"s greeting. Good morning, students! I"m glad to see you. How are you?
Phonetic exercise
Students revise homophones. Teacher gives the definitions of the homophones if it is necessary. The pairs of the words are on the blackboard (or in the handouts):
- read/red                                     - mist/missed
- not /knot                                    - so/sew/sow
Checking on homework
Students (selectively) read their works.
Game "What is the Tense?"
The teacher divides students into two groups with slips of paper. One half of students gets the slips with "Present Perfect" and another part gets the slips with "Past Simple". Each student knows only his / her inscription. Then the first student whispers the question to the next student. This one answers aloud. The rest of the students tries to guess what the question was and what Tense was used.
Introducing the topic
Teacher presents the topic with the pictures (ex. 1, p. 85). First, students listen to the word combinations and repeat them: a playing football a playing computer games a collecting sta mps / coins / badges / stickers о making model cars d travelling to other cities / countries a drawing pictures
a to like/to enjoy/to be fond of /I'm fond of/he is fond of/they are fond of
Students say what their hobbies are. And then they add information about themselves. Rest of the class writes information about two classmates (at each student option) according to the table (p. 87).
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
Fly like a bird. And jump like a frog. Now chase your tail Like a little brown dog.
Listening. Reading
The teacher gives students to read the task (ex. 3, p. 87). Then students] listen to the text (ex. 2, p. 86-87) about hobbies and make the task.

Students read the text and do ex. 4, p. 87. Their task is to find (in- { dividually) and check (in class) the sentences with Present Perfect, and ; answer the question what the function of this verb form is.

3. She has already decided to be an artist. (Maryna)
4. One of her pictures has won a prize in the Art Show. (Maryna)
To practise the use of Present Perfect students have to complete the sentences with "has" or "have" and write them down into their exercise books (ex. 5, p. 87).

Ex. 6, ex. 7, p. 87.
Summary and feedback
The teacher summarizes the work by asking for students' feedback.
