Aims and objectives: to practise students' speaking skills; to practise students' listening skills; to practise pronunciation and vocabulary; to develop general culture and etiquette of speech.
Warm up Landmarks
The teacher's greeting. Good morning, students! I'm glad to see you. How are you?
Students revise sounds [w] and [tj'). The twister is on the blackboard (or in the handouts): □ If two witches would watch two watches, which witch would watch which watch?
Checking on homework
Students (selectively) read their works.
Introducing the topic
The teacher can use the computer presentation or prepare pictures like these to introduce the topic. First, the teacher shows pictures to students and asks the questions using ex. 1, p. 152. Students answer the questions. They have to give as much information as possible.
Before reading, students look through the text and underline unknown or hard-reading words. The teacher explains these words. Students read the text "Forged Figures Park" and name the paragraphs with the correct headings (ex. 2, p. 152).
Answers: 1 C; 2 D; З А; 4 B.
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
There was я monkey climbed up a tree; When he fell down, then down fell he.
There was a crow sat on a stone;
When he was gone, then there was none.
There was a horse going to the mill; When he went on, he stood not still.
There was a chandler making candle; When he them strip, he did them handle.
There was a navy went into Spain; When it returned it came again.
To make a focus on the details of the text, students do ex. 3, p. 153. They look through the text one more time and find the things following below in the exercise.

Students read the statements (ex. 4, p. 153) and agree or disagree with them. Students may find out information in the text. They have to express their opinion and explain their choice. Then correct the wrong statements.
The teacher divides students into pairs. They read the imaginary situation (ex. 5, p. 153-154) and think of the dialogue.

Summary and feedback
The teacher summarizes the work by asking for students' feedback.
