Aims and objectives: to practise students' speaking skills; to practise students' listening skills; to practise pronunciation and vocabulary; to develop general culture and etiquette of speech.

Warm up
The teacher's greeting. Good morning, students! I'm glad to see yoi How are you?
Phonetic exercise
Students revise pronunciation of ght. If the teacher uses individual cards, students have to underline the words with the similar sounds, the listen to the rhyme and repeat it. If the teacher writes the rhyme on the blackboard, students first read these words, then listen to the rhyme and repeat it.
Star Light Star bright, The first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might. Have the wish I wish tonight.
Checking on homework
Students, in pairs act out their dialogues.
Introducing the topic
To present the topic of the lesson the teacher draw students* attention to the pictures (ex. 1, p. 154-155). Then, students listen to the texl (dialogue).
After listening, students have to find information about each of the pictures.
Students read the text and correct their mistakes if it's necessary.
After-reading activity. To practise students' abilities to find out details of the text, they do ex. 2, p. 155 and tick the true (T) and false (F) statements. Then, correct the false statements.
Answers: 1 T; 2 F; 3 T; 4 T; 5 F; 6 T.
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
Round and round the garden
Little Teddy bear
One step
Two steps
Tickle you under there!
Students look through the dialogue and complete the table (ex. 3, p. 155) with phrases or words.
Students read the task to ex. 4, p. 155 and do exercise in their exercise-books. They have to use words and expressions from the previous exercise to make the sentences about the difference between a life in a town (city) and a village.
Ex. 5, ex. 6, p. 156.
Summary and feedback
The teacher summarizes the work by asking for students* feedback.
