Aims and objectives: to practise vocabulary; to practise Simple Tenses and Present Continuous; to develop students' listening and speaking skills; to develop general culture; to develop students' creativity.
Warm up Museums and Exhibitions
The teacher's greeting. Good morning, students! I'm glad to see you. How are you?
Students revise sound [r]. Students listen to the rhyme and repeat it. The rhyme is on the blackboard (or in the handouts):
Rainbow to windward. Foul fall the day. Rainbow to leeward, Rain runs away.
Checking on homework
The teacher checks reading aloud, and students' answers the questions.
Introducing the topic
Before presentation the topic, the teacher proposes students to look through the words in the box (ex. 1, p. 156) and mark unknown words and phrases. Then the teacher explains them. Students have to say no less than one sentence with the words.
Students read the text about the Museum of History and Arts and do the grammar part of work: put the verbs into the correct forma (ex. 2, p. 156-157).
Answers: 1 has become; 2 has; 3 call; 4 has appeared; 5 came; 6 opened; 7 grew; 8 expanded; 9 became; 10 go.
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
Little Robin Redbreast flew upon a wall, Pussy cat jumped after him, and almost got a fall! Little Robin chirped and sang, and what did pussy say? Pussy cat said, "Mew", and Robin flew away.
Students listen to the dialogue (ex. 3, p. 157), then read it, mark the verbs in the Present Continuous and act out the dialogue. They may use the text-books while acting.
The teacher divides students into three groups. Students in groups, have to make a list of the vocabulary words. Then, each group writes the words on the blackboard. The winner has the longest (and correct) list.The teacher rearranges students into pairs. Their task is to talk with the partner about a place to visit. They may use the words at the blackboard and the points of discussion from ex. 4, p. 157. Then, students show their dialogues (selectively).

Summary and feedback
The teacher summarizes the work by asking for students' feedback.
