Aims and objectives: to practise vocabulary; to develop students' listening and speaking skills; to develop students' skills of making utterance; to develop students' skills of giving opinion.
Warm up School Activities
The teacher's greeting. Good morning, students! I'm glad to see you. How are you?
Students revise sound [n]. The rhyme is on the blackboard (or in the handouts):
In the morning, In the evening, I'm writing, You are reading, I'm jumping, You are sitting, I'm cooking, You are eating.
Checking on homework
Students read their letters one by one and ask questions. The reader has to answer. Students use the questions from ex. 1, p. 195.
Introducing the topic
To introduce the topic of the lesson, the teacher divides students into four groups and gives students to read other students' opinions about their school subjects (ex. 2, p. 195-196). Students read in groups on their own, and then try to give their own opinion as in the example.
After reading, students do ex. 3, p. 196 and complete the sentences according to the texts. Answers:
3. Anna ... Nature Study is interesting and great./Kate ... all school subjects are ...
4. Danylo ... Maths is ... /and PE isn't...
The teacher makes movements with the students. Teacher uses any rhyme for physical exercises. For example:
Point to the ceiling, point to the floor. Point to the window, point to the door. Clap your hands together one, two, three! Now sit down and look at me.
Work in class. Students look through the words in the box (ex. 4, p. 196) and talk about the school subjects their friend studies at school. They use the example.
Students choose a subject and make a dialogue using the phrases from the box (ex. 5, p. 196-197) as in the example.

Ex. 6, p. 197.
Summary and feedback
The teacher summarizes the work by asking for students' feedback.
